Sourav De Biswas
Sourav is a seasoned legal professional practicing corporate law since 2005 and having worked with India's premier Tier 1 law firms and biggest corporates. Prior to setting up DB Legal Consultants, Sourav worked with India’s largest law firms Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for over 14 years and has been a Partner in their General Corporate practice vertical for 7 years. He has also worked as in-house legal counsel with Reliance Communications, Avaya GlobalConnect and OYO Group (Deputy GC and VP – Legal).
Sourav’s practice area is General Corporate Advisory. He is business savvy and specializes in guiding domestic and international clients traverse through the plethora of Indian laws and regulations. He has in-depth experience in M&A transactions (public and private), share sales / acquisitions, business / asset transfers, joint ventures, court assisted mergers/demergers, due diligences, securities laws, commercial contracts, etc. He has advised numerous Indian and foreign clients on complex as well as plain vanilla transactions and across industries viz. manufacturing, information technology, retail, media & entertainment, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, etc. He has also been advising clients on day to day legal issues across varied subject matters, including corporate governance and compliance, securities law (takeovers, listing regulations, insider trading, etc.) and data privacy.
Sourav has been a trusted advisor to senior management teams, is able to anticipate issues, and render proactive solution oriented and practical advice. He enjoys handholding clients from the beginning to the end of any transaction or advisory and building long-term relationships.

About the team
Sushmita Halder
Sushmita has over 20 years’ of corporate law experience, advising on, among others, upstream and downstream sector (oil and gas), power sector (renewable and non-renewable), data protection (including GDPR), project finance, commercial contracts, start-up advisory, employment matters and general corporate transactions.
Sushmita graduated from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (2005) and worked with leading Indian law firms Khaitan & Co and Trilegal and multinational energy companies Reliance Industries Limited and BG Group (part of Shell Group). She has a Masters in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Keshav Mittal
Keshav is a young legal professional who began his journey with DB Legal in October 2024, bringing with him a blend of fresh academic insight and diverse practical exposure across reputed law firms and corporates. A graduate of NMIMS School of Law, Keshav has been consistently recognized for his academic commitment and co-curricular involvement. Prior to joining DB Legal, he gained experience working with leading law firms such as Khaitan & Co., Desai & Diwanji, Jyoti Sagar Associates, and Antares Legal.
At DB Legal, Keshav is actively engaged in the General Corporate Advisory practice. He has contributed to due diligence exercises and has drafted and reviewed key legal documents including master service agreements, software development agreements, share purchase agreements, and business transfer agreements. His hands-on experience also includes work in securities and data privacy laws.
Keshav brings an enthusiastic and detail-oriented approach to the legal practice. He continues to develop his skills in corporate law and aims to provide practical and reliable legal support as part of the DB Legal team.
Krishnapriya G.
Krishnapriya is a legal professional with a strong focus on corporate and business law, including general corporate advisory, M&A transactions, commercial contracts, private equity & venture capital, and joint ventures. A graduate of Lloyd Law College, she has previously worked with reputed law firms such as BMC Advisors, Maheshwari & Co., and HSA Associates, gaining hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents, conducting due diligence, and supporting complex corporate transactions.
She has presented a research paper on “Cybercrime against women: A cyber exploitation” at Jamia Millia Islamia University and has authored several blogs and articles on topics related to corporate and commercial law, reflecting her deep interest in legal research and current developments in the field.

Aanchal Pandey
Aanchal is an experienced legal professional with over seven years of expertise in corporate law, healthcare regulations, and intellectual property. She has served as in-house counsel for top pharmaceutical and healthcare companies such as Max Healthcare, Poly Medicure, and Akums Drugs, offering strategic, business-aligned legal support.
Her litigation experience spans the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, District Courts, and the National Green Tribunal. She advises on compliance with regulations like the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Legal Metrology Act, and data protection laws. Skilled in contract drafting and negotiation, she has handled a variety of agreements including manufacturing, supply, and service contracts.
